about

Alright, so It's been quite sometime since I've released any new music, and for good reason. I don't major in music, I can't read music notes, but I feel and sense music very well. I think.

This album plays on the thoughts of seeking validation and value in this area of study. With songs like Dope Fiends, Piece of Mind, and What They Lack In, I'm storytelling tropes of war, sexuality, and addiction.

I apologize for the wait. I'm also very picky about how my album covers look. I tend to draw everything by hand, color it, and then arrange everything myself for distribution. It keeps me closer to my music and original character design, which I need to trademark soon but the money and understanding of such legalities just aren't there yet. And seeking the knowledge and understanding about it is hard to come by as if no one can truly explain to me how this works.

Creating music as Vinyl the Vigilante or Vinyl the Raccoon is fun to me, it allows me to connect to my wilder side and my more natural animal instincts. Just in case that wasn't understand from the marijuana smoking, dark purple aura furred, sweatshirt wearing raccoon persona that I've adopted over the years.

But with that being said, I want my Honorary Meddlers to find a track that they enjoy and keep it with them for reference. Music is a wonderful thing, and I've been blessed to have the time that I've had to make music, and I will continue to do so as long as I can.

This is the raccoon, man, bear, wolf signing off.
Lates.

credits

released December 6, 2019

This album is mostly comprised of original instrumentals...Stuff that, at the time, I thought it would be cool to rap over.

Obviously, my new music is gonna be way better. (Keep in mind, great artists just continue to get better, and better over time.)

But on this particular album, I want to give credits to credits due, to Jin Kuvira and HAZ on the beats. Well actually, just two instrumentals this time, everything else is all me.

These guys are really good friends of mine, not like hang out every weekend, but every time I see them and we're able to hang out, I'm always truly inspired by what they do.

And of course, the Bandcamp platform itself. The Homie VerBS started using this website many years ago, and if you don't know who VerBS the rapper is from Culver City then you need to do your homework. And those who donate and download, you are truly appreciated and I hope you find a little bit of enjoyment from some of the music that I make.
